Weathered Mountain Wood Sculpture

I found this lovely piece of weathered wood on a steep section of our woods. In fact, I found several beautiful pieces of wood on that hike. I was thinking of incorporating it into one of my wall sculptures but the more I looked at it, the more I realized that it needed to shine on its own.

So, I cleaned the piece and protected the weathered wood with several coats of sealant. After finding the most intriguing angle, the piece was mounted. Its beautiful shape and unusual round hole make it not only an amazing piece of wood, but also an eye catching sculpture. This weathered wood sculpture will be the perfect one of a kind organic piece for your living room, study, or dining room.
